I am an established BACP qualified and registered counsellor practicing across Brighton and Hove.
If you have any questions or would like to book a session please get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you.
Counselling can give you an opportunity to tell your story, explore specific issues, talk about the challenges of life, find new direction and be heard. Sharing your thoughts and feelings with an experienced and professional therapist can help you make sense of your circumstances and gain new insight into how to deal with difficult issues. Often, due to the stresses and strains of life it can become difficult to find time to focus on ourselves. Counselling can provide you with that time and space of your own to explore what may be bothering you and have a chance to express your thoughts and feelings confidentially with someone that is neutral.
As an experienced therapist, I understand that coming to counselling for the first time can be a daunting task. I believe you will get the most out of your experience if you have the opportunity to find out more about the counselling process and trust and feel comfortable with your counsellor.
I am a qualified humanistic psychotherapeutic counsellor in Brighton and Hove.
I understand how extremely difficult, painful and stressful life can be and it can be a hard job to try and manage things on our own. I appreciate that living with daily pressures can mean we can feel lost and lose direction of what we want from life. You may be seeking counselling to talk about the daily struggles in your life, or to gain support with a specific issue such as bereavement or relationship issues. Whatever your reason, I believe that sharing your emotions and feelings freely within an empathic and therapeutic relationship can be incredibly healing.
I aim to provide you with a safe and confidential space where you can explore what may be bothering you and have a chance to express your thoughts and feelings.
My approach is humanistic and I believe that we all have the ability to make the right choices and decisions for ourselves. I will encourage you to trust in your own process, and work with you to identify your inner resources in order for you to re-gain a sense of freedom and direction.
I take the view that the mind and body work as one. I would support you to notice your physical and emotional presence in your world and explore how this shapes your relationship with yourself and your experience of others. Over time this respectful exploration can develop your awareness and acceptance of your world, your past and a discovery of new possibilities for a fulfilling future.
